Loved the first episode. Felt like a demo to a fuller shareware title or something, wanted more out of what I'd paid for, y'know? Great game with a lot of potential though, looking forward to more!

It feels like it has been ages since the first Lost Winds game.

I'll admit, I wasn't too impressed with the first game, but considering how I don't find myself shopping for WiiWare titles often, I think I'll dip back into Lost Winds.

The first one did a great job kicking off WiiWare, and gave me hope that small developers would find creativity and originality in the games developed for the service.

Sadly, that hope has since been shot, ran over, and left for dead.

Seeing a sequel to that first wonderful game is the eyelid flutter of the coma that is my hope for WiiWare.

@Alex_Mexico: There is that SD card solution we've had for some time now. Then again, if you're going to be buying a lot of WiiWare games, you'd have to invest in a fairly large capacity.

hope the developer get its money's worth from WiiWare. Somehow I doubt many people buy games from WiiWare at all (much less unrecognizable franchises like this one).
I did bought the first one and it was cool but the main reason as to why I stopped buying stuff for my Wii was because of the machines laughable storage capacity which I have already filled long ago. And no, I refuse to delete downloaded games!

Loved the first one! Hell this trailer makes me want the sequel bad!

Excuse me, I have to go replay the first one again.

@Atomsk88: very true. But still, the more hoops they make you jump, the less likely people will continue to buy games. Sure I can buy an SD card for my Wii but I've been buying from the PSN since 2007 and over there I dont have to invest on any cards to download my games.
I mean, I wish the best of things to the Lost Winds developers, but Im sad they are releasing exclusive games in a console with half assed online integration. Hoping the best for them I mean it.

@Atomsk88: I agree completly. But, like I said, hoops act like filters. Everytime there's a hurdle, less people go through them.
I'm a hardcore gamer, and thus I have something else besides my Wii. And Im a bit cheap to boot. I personally do not feel like investing on an SD card, especially since I get my download cravings from the PSN.
This is just me, this is not a statement of facts. But to what concerns myself I can tell you Nintendo lost a customer here.

@Alex_Mexico: I bought a 2GB SD card for $13. I have yet to use more than a gig of it.

@aw3str1k3r: I'm hoping for a WoG sequel. WoG was the only treasure of the WiiWare. I found LostWinds to be kinda mediocre. The gesture recognition was flaky, and it was easy to get stuck.

@Alex_Mexico: Well, I see the Wii almost like the PSP. There's some memory for you to begin with, but if you're going to be doing some serious gaming and online purchases, you'll have to invest in a larger memory card. I started with a 2GB Memory Stick Duo, but thanks to Final Fantasy VII, I sprung for an 8GB one.

Because really, if you're casually playing the Wii, the flash memory is enough to store save files.

you mean like making SMG2, Metroid: Other M, Endless Ocean 2, S&P2, NSMBWii, a new Zelda and rumors of a new Star Fox?

seriously - has news of these games not reached Kotaku? because you just come off as ignorant when you feel compelled to slide in those little ones liners in the midst of "complimenting" a Wii game.

THAT LOOKS AMAZING!

I sold my Wii shortyl after playing the first. Which was a great inventive game and sticks with me today, despite it's length.

With the arrival of this, Mo More Heroes 2 and the upcoming SMG2 I may need to think about buying a Wii again.

PS. Graphics look amazing.

Luke, seriously, we get enough of these back handed compliments in the comments. If you don't like the Wii let someone else do the reporting on it. When you make comments like this you undermine the entire site.

@dasorcerer7: If he hates the Wii so much, then perhaps he should simply not report on it. This isn't a newspaper, he's welcome to his opinions, but like Crash__Man said, when he says things like this it makes not just him but all of Kotaku looks bad.

He never said anything about disliking the Wii. He was just commenting on the fact that Nintendo themselves don't really seem to be doing many creative things with it. In fact, I believe what we can take from his comment is that he likes the idea of the Wii, he just wishes there were more games like Lost Winds out there.

@Alex_Mexico: sd cards are pretty common amongst consumers. I am really surprised you need to invest anything to get one. My phone came with a mini sd/ sd converter. Any digi cam you buy, unless sony, uses sd cards. Not really a hurdle imo. Black Friday is coming up... im sure you can go get a free sd card somewhere....
