Wow...thank god. For a moment I thought I was going to have to buy a McFarlane action figure. Then, I found out it was for the movie and not the game. Saved!
@AlucardsQuest: although a lot of fans got quiet over the years we're still there...i mean Spawn is still awesome till this day although i gave up on the comic a while ago.....im excited for the new movie that hes planning to do tho...hopefully aint a fail like the first....
Since when does McFarlane make toys? I knew he made semi-movable figures, at one time drew comics, previously had some quality control and standards and hosted an exciting baseball show... *sigh*
How did this guy get popular again? Spawn? Does anyone still give a damn about Spawn, let alone anything else he's worked on?
AlucardsQuest
Only 4 inches!?
How do they expect to sell that to the female fan base?

@philsebben: I am skeptical, but won't put it in the "Uwe Boll" category just yet.
I do anticipate it being on the verge of a more "Micheal Bay'd" at the expense of a decent storyline, with a Brokeback Prince that we hope will not ham the acting in this feature.
Still, Glydenhal shows promise as an actor. Hopefully, this is more than a gimmicky movie that aims to do little more than provide a live-action excuse to Aladdin. Granted, I liked the animated feature. Maybe Robin Williams can come back as a Genie in this feature, as well?
Then again, Walt Disney did reenvision ths "Narnia" series: The most wonderful masterpiece that I found myself falling asleep to on both occasions. (YEAH, I SAID IT AND WENT THERE.)
@StevenRafael: I do................that bubble can make anyone hot!!!!
To be honest, I'm going to watch this movie expecting a Jet Engine to fall on the Prince.
Does anyone else think Gyllenhaal was hotter in Bubble Boy than he is in Prince of Persia?
StevenRafael
@nikkor: HAHAHA! i guess they took the nintendo low res artwork for the movie.
dudehuge
@nikkor: You LOOKED! YOU DID! You looked at his shapely hairy chest, so soft, yet hard, asking for me to rest my hea....
NOOOOooo...
That's fine and all, but I'd really like to hear news about either Sideshow Collectibles or Hot Toyz doing 12" figures.
Granted, I understand that traditionally cheaper toys sell more, but high end 12" figures are coming back and we (25 and older gamer range) have the lucrative funds to spend on high end toys... and we don't want 4" shirtless Jake's. We want 12"... so he can pimp slap Barbie if she tries to take my sands of time.

@nikkor: How do you notices something like this? were you really looking at the picture that, hard..
@WiNG: My thoughts exactly.
@nikkor: Wow, they really do blend in there.
burtwonk
@Outkastprince: +2
@nikkor: *squints* I believe I see nipples there. They're just hard to spot.
The Magistrate
@philsebben:
I thought Silent Hill was good. And the Resident Evils weren't as bad as the rest.
dgonchild
Do the toys also happen to be nipple-less, just like in the pic?
If Disney can turn a THEME PARK RIDE into a good movie, I'm sure this has SLIGHTLY more of a chance than the average game movie. Slightly.
WiNG
I look forward to this action figure:

@velvet396: And yet there's like what, 5 other game related movies coming out? One even called "Gamer"? Most of which I'm expecting to fail, but I am hoping on Prince of Persia as well to at least succeed.
DemonicGamerWolf
So Jesus didn't have nipples?!
lfcjake
@SsLordMagus: They had to airbrush them out so it could be shown to children. Wait, is that a dude?
wmessen2
@Outkastprince: Is it wrong to want this to fail? I just think not every game deserves to be a movie, and there are certainly other more worthy candidates.
velvet396
Oh my god. Want.
I don't know if its just my vision but i dont seem to be able to see nipples on him.. o_O
SsLordMagus
@philsebben: It has chances of being the third. The first two places are already taken up.
That dagger seems like a nice collectible item for my tastes. As long as it doesn't look like it costs $0.05
@Ignited_Impulse: They do, one of my Friend's has bought like 8 of the Halo figurines and a couple of them, the moment they were taken out of the package fell apart.. Makes you wonder what they use. lol
DemonicGamerWolf
@Outkastprince: Surely it'd be better to hope for it to be a decent film, rather than it being commercially successful..?
MrHibbert
@Outkastprince: Haha... Yea.. I've read Twilight, which wasn't that horrible, but the movie. Never, never again.
Harry potter's okay lol it's a family movie. =P
And the holding bags thing... *sigh* the horribleness speaks for itself. lol
DemonicGamerWolf
@DemonicGamerWolf: Our girlfriends or fiancees can make us do anything. I need not remind you of the twilight and Harry potter movies this woman has me watching.
Let's not even bring up how they take you shopping and leave you holding their bags as females around stare at you. Hopefully that isn't just me cause I'll feel like a sucker. XD
Outkastprince
I'm holding all judgment until I see a trailer.
Hami83
@Outkastprince:
1+
@Outkastprince: Probably, can only imagine how much these people cost lol Damn expensive hollywood actors.
Maybe but I can see how Witch Mountain is selective taste. I watched it with my fiancee's family so I had to enjoy it. lol
DemonicGamerWolf
@philsebben:
With creator Jordan Mechner writing a draft of the script himself? Hell yes.
Does Mortal Kombat: Annihilation count? I haven't laughed so hard at a video game movie.
torara
@DemonicGamerWolf: I agree XD He is a bit too old, Jake is pretty good and I'm sure he was a bargain compare to other top stars.
Maybe I'll try witch mountain again, I was sick that day so could have had a effect on how I felt about the movie.
MasterDex: I've watch almost all video game movies including Mario or shall I say Mario Mario. Whatever they give us can't be worse than that or Blood Rayne.
I did enjoy Mortal Kombat though, it wasn't all that but it was entertaining which is good enough for me.
Outkastprince
@Outkastprince: I kinda liked the recent Witch Mountain movie.. lol >_>;;
I'm not too surprised he wasn't chosen for the part. I don't think it'd be right. He might be too buff for the role. lol
DemonicGamerWolf
@Outkastprince: I wouldn't hold your hopes too high. Videogame movies have a penchant for being utter crap.
-MasterDex-
@DemonicGamerWolf: I'm a bit surprise they didn't ask Dwayne Johnson to take the part.
That guy has been all over Disney movies lately, though his last one "Escape to witch mountain" was horrible.
Outkastprince
@philsebben: Not really, still a bit skeptical. Once I see a trailer or something i'll give a verdict.
You can play with McFarlane figures? When did this happen? I thought all McFarlane figures came with "Fragile, break-my-ass action"
Ignited_Impulse
@Outkastprince: When it involves Disney it typically is number one the first week. XD Disney rules the world like that.
DemonicGamerWolf
@philsebben: I do, been looking forward to this movie for a long time now. You got haters but truth be told, Disney isn't cheap when it comes to making movies so I expect big things.
Outkastprince
@Pult|Ost - Not Backwards Compatible: Don't bother getting one. Got one from Ebay and no matter how far back I went, Jake Gyllenhaal still ended up with no shirt.
Outkastprince
With Disney behind The Prince of Persia movie, does anyone have hopes for that this might be the first good video game based movie. Mortal Kombat does not count..
This is a blockbuster waiting to happen, hopefully it's number one at the box office the first week it comes out.
Outkastprince
I wouldn't mind having the dagger just because it sounds cool and would fit next to my figure of a girl with a large battle axe trying to smash in someone's head... But having a figure of Jake Gyllenhaal seems creepy to me.
DemonicGamerWolf
I would actually pay good money for a realistic replica of the dagger of time.
@omgwtflolbbqbye: 4 inches is all you need baby.
