PC Sales Charts: They Are The Champions, My Friends

@GiantEnemyCrab: I really wish they had a trial version I could try out ... Forking out over $60 on a subscription-based game without even trialing makes me feel a bit uncomfortable

Champions was great the first day OB functioned. I bought the 6 month sub the next day. Then I come to find that the universe sucks, the gameplay gets old, and pvp is piss poor imbalanced. I canceled my pre-order, and am stuck with a sub to a game I don't own.

I found myself a very awesome champions build. Socializing really changes your enjoyment of an mmo: I was having a lot of fun playing champion solo, but as soon as I started to make friends and team up, the game was a real blast.

Litteraly. My character is force based. I blast a lot of stuff.

@That mop mutant from NES.: Yeah I got that impression in closed beta. It could be good if given enough polish.

@Rompehamster: I agree, its awful for a multiplayer game. Unfortunately, too many people enjoy soloplay in multiplayer environments, and this game feeds that hunger very well.

@chewychomp: It's a turd. There are rumors it's just an engine demo. Combat feels awkward and visuals are meh.

Oh, man, was playing Aion last night with the boyfriend. He was expecting it to be like Lineage with wings but he was wrong. :)

It's such an enjoyable game. (Though, I played the Chinese version of it for awhile and hopped to the EU one) I hope to see some of you Kotakians on Ariel server, Elyos. :D

@chewychomp: Hilarious. That game was definitely pre-alpha when it went OB. I don't think it even has audio yet.

I'm not going to lie, Champions Online looks really compelling. I'm not one who usually plays MMOs, but I may have to try this one out. It looks like so much fun.

Champions is meh. Aion is meh. But whats up with Fallen Earth?

Section 8, really? That game is god awful, or at least from what ive played from the demo.

It should not take about a "gazillion" bullets to take out an enemy player, let alone four sniper rounds.

Main skill is Ego, and I'm a beast in pvp.

@lineypi: All mmos come with trials sooner or later, just, rarely at launch. It'll happen, don't worry.

The wife is actually playing, and she hates mmo`s

The Street Fighter 4 deal on Steam was a real bargain. I didn't get it in the end, but it definitely wasn't because of the price being too high.

@DJ-Pie-Safety: I'm endurance/constitution/recovery, force mixed with surnatural, regen as a passive. I can spam attacks for a long time without loosing much energy...

From my experience; My friends all love it except one. (He's stuck with a 6 month sub that he isn't using. We all got it and are using it to its fullest and will be doing Star Trek beta which will be fun.) Very fun and lots of stuff to keep the game refreshing and fun. We're loving it. Great game.

The Steam price was reduced from £30 to £15. At other online stores it's been selling for ~£18 since shortly after release.

Champions:
Really impressed me during beta, so Im one of the statistics.
Ofc they on launch day NERF the whole game, less damage, less defence, allot of less XP and increase the "respec" cost by staggering amounts and kinda break the game a little.
They are addressing it and I'm a believer :)

Aion:
My underaged level 17 Dark elf (Asmodian) female Mage sits in a corner (its dark and moody) and :shudders: at all the underaged Emo Dark elf scouts.
I swear I saw the cast from Twilight moping around the Abyss...
Its HIGHLY catered to the WoW crowd. with lots of trinkets and gear to collect and collect and collect.
Looks like allot of fun though. But very Emo.

Its, dare I say, THE tribute to Beige and Brown.

Give it a couple months, no MMO can persist off of it's initial sales. It may take a little while, but there will most definitely be one sooner or later.

Frankly I'm impressed that killing floor is still selling so well. Its a good game, with some seriously dodgy voice acting.

Surprised Left 4 Dead isn't higher, since as I recall it price dropped to $30.
