Can you guess this old game from just one screenshot?
I’ll update this post with the answer at 5pm today if no one has guessed before then. Or if you do guess it before then, feel free to share your memories of a classic game.
Blues Brothers! Amiga most likely given the colours.
Again, I haven’t played it, but that suit and profile is instantly recognisable. The guitar helps too.
“Do you have any chicken ma’am?”
“Best damned chicken in the state.”
“Bring me four fried chickens and a Coke.”
“You want chicken wings or chicken legs?”
“FOUR fried chickens and a Coke.”
I quite like the ‘Remember This?’ series of posts, but I feel its a bit exclusive in the demographic it is catering to. I’ve never seen an Amiga, so I will never remember the games from it.
I understand the perceived need to feature obscure games, but if they are obscure because they were published for a system that only a minority were exposed to, you are only catering to those people.
I think it would be a better column if the related games platform was more varied. And I think it would be particuarly more interesting if you could find obscure titles for a system that the majority had played. Trying to find an obscure game for the XBox360 could be quite difficult, but maybe a lot more interesting for the majority of readers. And what about including some obscure arcade games?
I guess depending on your age then I could understand why you might think this, but you’d be surprised the number of people who know what the Amiga is (or the C64 or Atari ST or Spectrum ZX etc)..
Still, it’d be nice for me to look at these and see one I’d be able to even roughly guess at.
Something on computer, NES or SNES.
There are plenty of obscure games out there that came out around the early 90s, when I started playing games.

Damn, for once I know one and everyone else is there before me :)
I had the Blues Brothers on the Atari, and still have a copy for when I fire up Dosbox…

The Amiga only exposed to a minority?
Huh?

I know what you mean.
This column attract comments from older gamers. There are plenty of us out there.
Just be thankful he hasn’t started using Atari 2600 and Intellivision screenshots.
