Can you guess this old game from just one screenshot?
I’ll update this post with the answer at 5pm today if no one has guessed before then. Or if you do guess it before then, feel free to share your memories of a classic game.
But one of several names if I remember correctly. Recall spending many hours playing this 2 player with a mate of mine on his Amiga, getting frustrated with the cheap AI & the rubber band mechanics on later stages.. Good times.
i was thinking of this game the other day when we downloaded a game called drift mania on wiiware.
the similarities were immediately obvious (although i think drift also harked back to an earlier c64 game rather than off road racer)
Super Off Road. Atleast that’s one of the many names. I think Michael got one of the names right.
There’s currently and indy game being made that’s heavily inspired by it. http://www.ogre3d.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=36445

Ivan “Ironman” Stewart’s Offroad Racer.
I loved this game. Was fun trying to crowd 4 people around a keyboard to play it on the PC. I’m sure there’s a Flash version out there!

4×4 Offroad Racer – an awesome amiga game. Great multiplayer fun.
I think it had slightly different names for other platforms/countries.

4×4 Off Road Racer or something like that. I played this at the arcade, the cabinet had a steering wheel attached.

Many cabinets had 3 steering wheels on it. Good times. Also you can get Super Off Road Racer on any midway arcade collection.
