Scenes And Screens From LostWinds: Winter Of The Melodias
Frontier Developments once again puts the power of the wind in your hands in LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias, the follow-up to the acclaimed WiiWare launch title. Here’s what it looks like.
The art style remains intact, but the play style has changed a little bit. As mentioned in Owen’s article on the game this past weekend, LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias gives the player the power to instantly switch between summer and winter, with different wind-based powers available based on whether or not the weather outside if frightful. It looks delightful, doesn’t it? Let it snow I say.

I can not wait for this game to come out. The first one is easily the best WiiWare game I've played. I hope this one will be a bit longer than the first though... it was over far too fast.

First image, top right. The first thing that ran through my mind was, "THIS is what happened to GladOS?"

@synapticflow: Was it updated with the new details though?
Never played the first one but looks beautiful. I'll need to see more of it later to consider a purchase but so far so good.

@KyleNichol:
They've had a site for quite awhile, but thanks for the reminder.
*hopeful*
the original remains one of the best wii games I've played yet. These folks really got "it".
I just replayed through the first Lost Winds game a few weeks ago. I liked it just as much or more than my first play through a year or so previous. I'm very excited that the sequel is finally coming.

For half a second there i thought it was HL2 Episode 3. Icy setting, gloomy camera thingy... :(

Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons anyone? Holy crap, that was a great game boy color game. As was Oracle of Ages.
Changing the seasons on the fly was an awesome and fresh exploration mechanic that is typical of some of the greatest adventure games ever made. Let's hope this one also makes some good decisions. Also hoping it's a bit longer than the last too.
