Why are the shadows outside 'soft'? It's space, what is there to reflect off of to create the ambient light?

For the same reason that missionary is more popular than reverse cowgirl. Keeps all the interesting bits together and both parties on the same page.

@ESREVE12: Hopefully so. This game would definitely be outside standard fare if to maneuver a person has to launch off objects. If there is mid-air redirection it will just be another low-g shooter.

I wonder if it will play similarly to the Battle School game a la Ender's Game that is being developed. (At least, I THINK someone is developing it)

So... this is HD Tribes. Awesome.

I like the idea of quite a free-moving shooter. Although that would've been third-person. Of course, we can't tell how this will play until actual footage.
