Sony’s Image Enlargement Tech Could Make PS Store Awesome

6:40AM September 9, 2009 | Michael McWhertor

Sony’s “High-Resolution Image Enlargement Technology” may not have the coolest name, but the PlayStation 3 and PSP tech could make for a much more interesting, zoom-tastic PlayStation Store.

Shown at the recent CEDEC conference in Tokyo, the high-res image tech makes for a sweet looking calendar and embedded web pages, but not much else. But according to Diginfo, Sony will provide this image enlargement library to game developers, which could make for something interesting down the road.
