Final Fantasy XIII’s Bahamut & Brynhildr Get Goofy In Gestalt

Surely you’ve seen Final Fantasy XIII’s version of Odin, the summon that can be called to aid our heroine Lightning in battle. And surely you’ve seen Odin’s horsey “gestalt” variation, turning him into deadly four-legged transport. Get ready for more!

Square Enix has updated the Final Fantasy XIII web site, giving us a clear, pre-rendered look at the gestalt modes of two of the games other Eidolons, Bahamut and Brynhildr, summoned and ridden by characters Oerba Yun Fang and Sazh Katzroy. You may have seen these variations in screen shots before, but the detail on the frilly cuffs of Brynhildr must be seen in their more detailed forms to truly appreciate them.

Neither has the raw appeal of Shiva’s girl-on-girl motorcycle transformation, ridden by FFXIII’s Snow. But both are bordering on the same level of silliness. See if you agree by checking out Sazh’s new ride below.
