Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 2:11 PMHmmm just looking at the achievements, i know they’re not always in order of the games campaign etc… but i reckon that Cliffhanger is the first mission.
Like the one on COD4 on the Ship – its a mission but shorter and more of an introduction to the game with some wicked ending. But then again it seemed like that level had driving and everything so it could be a much longer level & i’m wrong.
Just guessing! Good thing is this has more achievements for this Special Ops. COD don’t really have online achievements and COD4 was all campaign and doing certain things where as these Special Ops make up for that and give it variety and hopefully some difficulty getting them.

Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 4:06 PMBack in the Saddle sounds like the tutorial, which perhaps segues into Danger Close for the actual first mission (perhaps you get attacked by insurgent/terrorist forces and have to defend your crappy base after you go through the tutorial, and then you get picked up for the first “story” mission.

I don’t know why but to me COD has all ways been a single player game. All thought nazi zombies in COD 5 was fun with a friend. Who knows maybe COD will bring my fun online!

Though I am also glad about the Multiplayer achievements, as I think do tend to ostracise people who don’t go online.

Just watching that ice climbing segment & then seeing the achievement just made me have a vision of you starting to climb etc… Is that “Takedown” mission the one we’ve all been seeing with civillians running around screaming etc..???

I gather then you have a 360 and cannot afford $$$ for XBL. It’s like saying Halo is made for campaign. COD4 campaign is sweet and the Halo ones are too – but EVERYONE knows even if you haven’t played them online, that they are pretty much made to be played online. If it wasn’t the case, i wouldn’t still have my Halo 3 disc if there was no multiplayer. Its what keeps it alive pretty much.
And as much as online achievements can be frustrating to attain cause no one is playing and therefore cannot find a match – i would have liked to have seen a few. It just proves that some people aren’t good enough to get some achievements cause they suck online.

And to the other comments – Multiplayer is waaay better than the single player in COD4 & even other games like Halo etc…
I rarely buy a game & keep it if it doesn’t have decent online play, unless its an RPG or Sandbox game that has that replayability to it. If COD4 or Halo didn’t have online, i sure would have only hired it or traded it in a week after its release.
More than majority of COD4 or Halo players would agree that online multiplayer is the only reason they have kept the game & that its the best thing of the game itself. I mean not everyone even plays the campaign anymore, i know half the friends on my friends list have got no achievements for passing any COD4 or Halo levels.
And also, who buys a game except for that little 1-5% of achievement whores, that think – Oh it has no online achievements i’ll buy it cause they’ll be easy to get. A game like COD4 which is heavily purchased FOR online gaming, shouldn’t look & think, “Oh not everyone plays online, so we won’t put online achievements in”.
Its just bad luck to those who don’t play online if those achievements mean so much to you.
