Tethering may be the most enticing new feature in the imminent PSP firmware update, offering an alternative method for connecting to the internet via a Bluetooth device. And since that’s a Bluetooth feature, we’re guessing that’s for PSPgo owners only, which features built-in Bluetooth.
Slightly less enticing is new SensMe music categorisation support, a proprietary Sony application that automatically categorises whatever music PSP owners have transferred to the device. If you’ve ever wanted to listen to some tunes that are “Evening” flavoured, SensMe has you covered.
Finally, PlayStation Network Ops director Eric Lempell says that a new PlayStation Store interface for the PSP’s Media Go software will be supported in 6.10. It looks very iTunes-esque from our expert squinting.
Expect the newest firmware update to hit soon. Very soon.

Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 2:40 PMAre you serious or are you a spam bot? We know Sony doesn’t mind a little excessive enthusiasm from payed promoters…
Personally, I wouldn’t mind a PSPgo but I can’t afford nor justify one. Also, I already have a massive swathe of UMDs whch I’m unable to capitalise on, either. I’d have to purchase a PSP, then repurchase the shit I already own.

Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 2:56 PMI’d be enthusiastic too if I were planning to buy it, the fact the you can connect your DS3 to it is just too awesome.

Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 3:07 PMReally, arn’t you just a little overenthusiastic there, i mean, yeah the PSPgo has some advantages over the PSP, but there nothing to have an orgasm about.
I mean come on, if you really hated umd’s so much, but wanted to buy the game, then buy the game, crack the firmware, download a cracked version to memory and away you go.
And this size issue, yeah thats great but i’d rather get something bigger if it meant that i wasn’t stupid enought to put up with the unusual price tag.
