When heroines in upcoming PS3 role-playing-game Ar Tonelico III activate in-game songs, their costumes show more and more flesh. This, explains producer Atsunori Kawachi, is for a very important reason.

By showing more skin “they are able to absorb more of the planet’s energy,” said the producer at a recent press event.

Continuing, he added, “The world can only be saved because the heroines took off their clothes!”

Ar Tonelico will be out in Japan next January. It is the first 3D game in the Ar Tonelico series.
