Can you guess this old game from just one screenshot?
I’ll update this post with the answer at 5pm today if no one has guessed before then. Or if you do guess it before then, feel free to share your memories of a classic game.
It’s on the tip of my tongue… It reminds me of this mid-1990s Myst-esque adventure game, probabyl developed in Eastern Europe. You wake up with no memory in room 313 of this really surreal motel and travel around on these strange, art deco looking trains and planes in some dystopian future. That little girl would show up in these bizarre dream like sequences…
Might not be it, but does that game ring a bell with anyone?
Bells ringing loud and clear here though! I’ve thought about this game recently, but I can’t for the life of me remember what it was called. I even reviewed the damn thing for Hyper back in 1995. I keep thinking it began with “Dam…” or something like that. Does that jog any memories?
David, it was your review in Hyper that made me go out and rent it, back in the days when you could still rent PC games! No kidding. It was one of the most insane video game experiences of my life. I think I was 12 at the time.
It’s so strange, that I can remember every detail of that game, from the strange briefcase full of seemingly pointless gadgets, to the enourmous train stations you had to click your way through… I even remember the museum where you steel a da vinci esque aeroplane. But I cannot remember the dame of the game!
I can say with 100% confidence that the game is D. This is one of the flashback sequences that you get when you see one of the beetles, looks like the bit just before Laura stabs her mother.

Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 9:54 AMThis one actually looks familiar in a “i reckon i had it” way.
I’m gunna guess “D” as i didn’t have many PC games that could’ve looked like that.

I went through every single ‘Adventure’ game entry on mobygames, but eventually found it on gamespot of all places.
We can all rest easy… except now I really want to play it again.
