Attempting to log into the PlayStation Network through your PlayStation 3, PSP, or the website itself right now brings up a message very similar to the one we received trying to log in at PlayStation.com:

We apologise for the inconvenience. Please try again later.
It seems to have gone down around an hour or so ago, with no word on why or when it will be back up. We just figured if we let you know about it as soon as we could, the laws of irony would kick in and it would immediately go back up. Fingers crossed!
Update: No such luck! Sony has indicated that the maintenance should be completed by 1pm Pacific time (6am AEDST).

it went down on Sat aust time too. a real pain in my ass that was! i wanted to get some mag beta action on but alas i couldnt use my main profile. i was able to use any one of my other profiles though. i found that real odd.

We lost precious Uncharted 2 time on Saturday too :(
