You know the drill.
Here’s what’s on this evening’s episode of Good Game.
Tonight on Good Game, reviews galore with Jack Black starring in the highly anticipated ode to metal that is Brutal Legend and from the makers of GTA comes Beaterator, a beat making program featuring beats from that Timbaland guy.
Meanwhile LucasArts has a crack at artsy 2D platforming with Lucidity and the Gran Turismo series tries to squeeze itself onto the PSP.
But wait, there’s more as we go backwards compatible on Stealth games and also chat to another one of Australia’s best gamers, Rodney Day, a man who’s got the world’s longest lasting high score, holding the top spot in Pengo for over 25 years.
See Good Game Monday nights on ABC2 @ 8:30pm, or late Friday nights on ABC1, just before rage.

Just watched the reviews on their site. I haven’t touched my PSP in almost two years so I just clicked on their review of Gran Turismo on a whim… oh my god that game looks bad >_>

What about it gives you that impression? I’m loving it. Sure it’s not as comprehensive as the console versions, but it’s designed as GT on the go: play for hours or just 10 minutes

Somewhere between no career mode and that hilariously bad looking tutorial, this game seems to terrible for me to take seriously :(
I remember playing burnout paradise on the PSP. That was awesome and well fleshed out. This… not so much :(
I suppose if you’re REALLY into GT then modding the stats of cars might be interesting… but seriously, no career mode? WTF??

I wonder if he played it on the Pengo version that played ‘pocorn’ as the BGM. God I’d go insane if that was the case.
I remember back in the 80s playing defender for 11 hours straight on one coin, then they kicked me off to close the arcade for the night, I’ve always wondered where that score might have ranked. Had a blister on the base of my thumb the size of a 50c piece the next day, it was like a snowglobe.
