How popular are those ridiculously psychotic rabbids? Far more popular than I realised, as it turns out.
Rabbids Go Home, the nonsense platformer where our heroes collect junk to build a tower (of babble?) to the moon, leaps in at #4. It completes a quartet of Wii titles at the top of the chart. Perennials Mario Kart and Wii Fit take the top slots, while the rejigged Ashes Cricket bats at first drop.
Hey, where did Uncharted 2 go?
All Format Full-Priced Games Top 10 for the w/e November 8:

Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 9:48 AMI think they new it was babel and thats why they made it babble int his game

Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 9:55 AMSuspect the usage of babble instead of Babel might’ve been intentional. Afterall, the Rabbids do babble quite a fair bit.

Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 9:36 AMOne things for sure, i’ll be getting NSMB tomorrow.
Would it be pointing out the obvious to say that next weeks list will have MW2 at the top? Surely mario won’t outsell that?
…On a side note i still haven’t played any of the CoD games, so i’m just going to hide in a corner in shame.. i REALLLY need to pick them up and make my way through them….

Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 10:10 AMNot that they aren’t all good, but you can save yourself some time and just grab CoD 2 & 4.
I feel these charts have long since lost their relevance to gamers. It might as well be agricultural export reports; these sales do not represent gamers but instead the new (larger and more profitable) casual market. Will there eventually be a distinction?
I only see two games on that list, one of them is just an expansion and the other is the 6th iteration of an unchanging franchise. i wouldn’t even count Mario-Kart as it’s a big step backwards from Double-dash, even MK64: the ‘kid’s edition’ for the casual audience.
My recent purchase list:
Professor Layton and the Curious Village
Aion [no sub]
Brutal Legend
Assassins Creed 2 [Black Ed. Pre-order]
Warriors Orochi 2
Guilty Gear XX #Reload
Bayonetta [jap]

Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 11:15 AMI’d expect MW2 to take the top two slots, on 360 and PS3 respectively. Although you never know, NSMB has the advantage of being “soft” bundled with the Wii at a number of retailers, and those sales count. It’ll be interesting.

Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 10:07 AMAre the top 4 individual sales? I know those four are all part of bundles so am wondering if that’s got anything to do with it.
Good to see Forza holding strong

Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 10:49 AMApart from a single post on Kotaku about Wii Cricket being shilled by Glenn McGrath, I have heard nothing about Wii Cricket. But somehow its number 3 with a bullet. A single TV ad I’ve seen for the new Rabbids game, but that’s at 4. Like, huh? How is the general populace garnering knowledge about these games? Am I missing something?

Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 10:54 AMAnd another thing, if Mario Kart Wii is only number 1 because it’s bundled with new Wii consoles, does that mean sales of new Wii CONSOLES are outselling Forza 3 and GTA? A game console outselling individual games? I knew the Wii console was stupid popular, but these kind of sales figures enter the ‘let’s wipe our arses with cold hard cash’ realm of success.

Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 1:46 PMthis list is embarrassing, and then we go ban or sensor games other countries don’t. we look like a bunch of gaming pu$$ies

Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 8:49 PMUncharted had a REALLY good run. Especially for a PS3 game.
Any exclusive thats not on the Wii (with these charts) that last at least 4 weeks, is doing really well.
Considering this doesn’t include EB Games, Uncharted done excellent. Forza 3 is doing great too.
Uncharted no doubt would have been in Top 10 if EB were involved. Probably Top 5 too. Not sure about next week though with MW2.
