This coming Monday, November 23, sees the release of the original SNES Mario Kart for 800 Points. Good news. Better news is to come, though, as “sometime this holiday season” Nintendo will also release the original SNES Pilotwings and the original N64 Smash Bros. Exact release dates and pricing to come on those two.
Leaving just one game on my Virtual Console wish list. Jurassic Park. Chop chop, Nintendo.

Too slow Nintendo, been playing 2 player Mario Kart SNES on Wii with friends for many many months. How about Starwing/Starfox? Or Earthbound?

It does make you wonder why it’s taken Nintendo so long to get Mario Kart onto the Virtual Console in Australia. When the Wii came out in 2006, I went to launch night at Toys R Us, and I ended up getting a pack with Zelda Twilight Princess, and a few other titles, but the one thing that irked me was there was no Super Mario and Mario Kart as a Wii launch title and no Mario Kart on VC. Nintendo should have had these out at the launch of the Wii, not three years later. In the end I sold my Wii. Still with New Super Mario Bros Wii and Super Mario Kart on Virtual Console, I’m tempted to pick one up again.

I’d love some consistency. It’s all on the internet guys, no distribution issues.
Report PermalinkAus had smash bros for a few months, but I’d take kart snes over that any day.

I’ve had Super Mario 64 on my Wii with only a few glitches for a couple years, I thought it was already out in Australia.
