What Are You Playing This Weekend?

It’s heading to be stupidly hot here in Sydney this weekend. I’ll be hiding indoors and playing games. Will you?

Much of my time will be spent with the excellent Assassin’s Creed II, a sequel that keeps surprising me with the huge strides it makes over the original. If you, like me, found yourself bored by the repetitive and, frankly, dull mission mechanics of the first game, but loved the free-running and the sheer size of the world, then I’m confident you’ll find the sequel far more enjoyable.

I’m also planning to get in some more Demon’s Souls and finally get around to spending some time with the new Ratchet & Clank.

    funny.. melbourne has been stupidly hot all week, and not it’s cooled down dramatically for the weekend… thankfully..

    I don’t think i’ll have much time to play this weekend unfortunately… i’ll try to sneak in soem monster hunter freedom unite or Batman AA.

    Monday will be much better as i’m hoping to have a made around for our “gears and beers”night.. gears may be replaced by borderlands though. But seeing as borderlands doesn’t rhyme with “beers” it will just stick to the traditional name..

      Left 4 Bread night? ahem.
      Creed and Weed night? no.
      Call of Duty and booty? no.
      Halo and Bordeaux?
      What about “Cans & Borderlands night”!

      I’ll play a bit of MW2 myself and NSMB Wii to wind down before bed (MW2 multiplayer is far from a lullaby).

    Definately some four-player Mario and even L4D2. Despite its censoredness, it is still a very, very fun game. Get that multi action happening asap.

    AC2, MW2 and some GTAIV DLC…Its bloody hot here in Sydney.

    MW2 if only they released AC2 for pc when they released it for consoles dam devs killing us

    MW2 and some halo 3 and maybe some NSMB Wii. brother has my banned console with him on holidays so ive only got 2 games right now for the weekend :P

    Im going to play gardening from the break of dawn to nightfall… so like 15 hours or something.

    Big weekend of games here, I got Dragon age for the PS3 on friday, along with the Bad Company 2 Beta, my friend loaned me the original Assassins Creed and Infamous as well, PHEW! lots to play, so little time!

    I’ve finished off Call of Duty Modern Warfare this morning, just in time to pick-up the the 2nd.

    I’ve also been playing Race Driver: GRID, which i’ve pulled out from the back of the cupboard and was throughly enjoying it.

    Assassin’s Creed is AMAZING! I loved the original no matter how repetitive it was. I just loved exploring and climbing!

    But this is just so much better. Weaponry, Armour upgrades. Love earning money from the little town and upgrading it. Looking for treasure. Chasing thieves who steal from you, then happily slaughtering them and falling to their death.

    Just buy it already!!!!

    Playin some of the new Dragonball Z fighting game, maybe see about finishing off Dragon Age. Lots of dragons =P

    I would be playing MW2, Uncharted 2 and Forza 3.
    But I have just moved to Europe and all my toys are somewhere in the middle of the ocean on a ship :(

    Still haven’t cracked open my copy of Brutal Legends. Playing AC2, Borderlands and Torchlight. My copy of Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty is in playtime purgatory. Really want to finish that before I start on R&C: A Crack in Time. Games, games, games.

    Gonna get some time to play Call of Duty 4 > Modern Warfare and hopefully some Magna Carta, Brutal Legend and Wet. Once I finish cleaning. lol
