Can you guess this old game from just one screenshot?

I’ll update this post with the answer at 5pm today if no one has guessed before then. Or if you do guess it before then, feel free to share your memories of a classic game.

Good luck!

The style of this game actually reminds me of “It Came From The Desert” on Amiga – great game that had impressive atmosphere for the time, and great graphics.
I’m almost sure it’s not “It Came From The Desert”, but the art style is very similar.

As for what it actually is, I don’t know. Somebody enlighten me!

I loved it came from the desert. They are one game developer that I lament moving on to the great developers in the sky.

I still consider the Amiga to the glory days of gaming for me. I love gaming now but I find that some of the soul has left the industry.

Anyone else love the cinemaware games?

Yay, one I could get for once… I remember playing this when I was reeeaaaally little… what put me off wasn’t how scary it was, but more how bad the controls were. The fixed cameras and four way directional controls were the real nightmare…

Alone in the Dark! Edward Carnby is getting the hell out of that Lovecraft/Geiger inspired hellhole they call Derceto.

    My very favourite game.

Is it wrong that this reminds me of Hyrule Field?

Alone in the Dark. A brilliant game! I’ve never seen a game since, that made such great use of camera angles. Also, great use of environmental sounds. Barely any music, but just the sound of your footsteps as you walk over stone or wood. It freaks you out after a while. Especially when you’re playing it in the dark. Alone.
