So, Bayonetta scored 10 in EDGE and 40/40 in Famitsu. Figure I’ll spend some of the weekend checking out what the fuss is all about.
That, and some Assassin’s Creed II, of course. And also Borderlands, which I’ve just returned to during the week. My friends and I are now finally all about the same mid-20s level so it’s actually worth playing co-op now.
What are you playing this weekend?

Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 10:05 PMAssassin’s Creed II probably. Had a go at the Bayonetta demo yesterday. Seems like chaotic and ridiculously over the top, fun action.

Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 11:14 PMChecked out the Bayonetta demo- was actually pleasantly surprised. Am not the biggest fan of beaters- even God of War 3 demo and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 left me a little disappointed- but there does seem enough variety in Bayonetta besides the to-be-expected stunning visuals and excruciatingly repetitive button mashing. The Climax finish is spectacular, I still laugh each time. She still has a disproportionately small head tho. If the GF likes the demo this may well be a buy.

Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 1:12 AMIs it me or are Japanese RPG’s growing tasteless this generation? I got Star Ocean for 360, and I have to say… it is poor compared to the likes of Mass Effect and Fallout 3.
The story, the dialogue, everything is just so contrived and so forced… the only redeeming factor is the gameplay… and even that didn’t rope me in enough.
Anyway, I got that game for a mere $19 at Kmart. Good thing for Bayonetta Demo though, been playing that a whole lot, the combos are fun to execute and they are endless!!

Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 9:17 AMAssassins Creed 2. Haven’t finished it yet. 4 Feathers to go, have to revisited every feather point to recheck.
Plus Uncharted 2 MP and Resident Evil 5 PC version. Ooooh it’s fun times here. I did play Bayonetta, the demo and was surprised at how good it was and I hope it’s true about the US release of the PS3 version being improved.

Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 10:23 AMThe Saboteur, man it’s hard going from AC2 to this, copletely ifferent gameplay styles. Howevr, the more I play it the more compelled I am to finish it and the more impressed I am by the core gameplay mechanics. Definately not regretting the purchase.

Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 2:37 PMWhen I can escape the clutches of my girlfriend it’s going to be the RUSE beta with my mate, and some good ol’ Far Cry 2. Enjoying the hell out of hat game, even if it is much more consoley run’n'gun than I was expecting.

Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 3:44 PMMidnight Club: LA Complete Edition, which I picked up for $40 at EB during the week, probably some Borderlands as well.
Might try and finish of the Feathers in Assassins Creed II before I start a new game in that, I never wanted to play the story of Assassins Creed again….yet the second one has a brilliant story and deserves a 2nd playthrough..
Even if its just to see that ending again…

Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 6:03 PMFallout 3 GOTY edition continues to dictate my life. It took me a year, but I’m now well and truly hooked on fallout 3, weird bugs and all.
