Wanna see some of the crap we’re giving away to one lucky Kotaku reader? Let’s delve into the pile and take a look.
As you should know, we’re giving away a big pile of crap. I get sent loads of gaming swag throughout the year and, by December, my desk is cluttered with all sorts of crap. So, to clear it out, I’m giving it all away to the reader who provides the most consistently thoughtful, articulate, helpful and worthwhile comments on the site between now and the end of the year.
Of course, when I say “crap” I don’t really mean that. There’s plenty of cool stuff in the Pile of Crap. Stuff like this: a SingStar pack for PS2 or PS3; a Wii Sports Resort hat; a Wii Sports Resort mini basketball; a Wii Sports Resort drink bottle; three Monkey Island pin badges; a Borderlands t-shirt; and a whole bunch of Wii games (see if you can make out their titles). So, what do you think: cool or crap?
Oh, and stay tuned for more pics from the Pile of Crap this week.

Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 4:04 PMWith a pending Wii coming into the household this Christmas I am now officially giddy with excitement over the possibility of winning this pile of gaming goodness!

Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 4:21 PMCool that you’re giving Spyborgs away, as well as that Borderlands T-shirt.
I’ve heard mixed thoughts upon that game and it’s weird to me because it’s a Capcom developed game and they have released great games on the Wii including Zack & Wiki, Okami (despite it being a port from the PS2) and Resident Evil 4 (a GC/PS2 port), not to mention the upcoming titles like Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom on the Wii next year.
Understandable that this game wasn’t developed by Capcom but I did expect Capcom to make a good game on the Wii since they know to utilise the hardware well enough. The only good review score I remember was an 7.5 from IGN.

Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 4:42 PMIt’s a brilliant haul… I’d feel guilty having it all. I’d have to share some around.
But that Wii Sports trilby would be mine… I love wearing them!

Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 4:51 PMI could use a new drink bottle.
Also, why does it have to be cool OR crap? Methinks it can be considered to have both qualities.

Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 5:28 PMGames include… Avatar, Facebreaker, Skate 2, Star Wars : The Clone Wars, Monopoly and Spyborgs…
That hat looks swanky, though I would remove the Wii Sports bit and go find Yahtzee to sign it and then claim it was an original Yahtzee hat… :)

Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 6:27 PMThis pile of crap is starting to look more and more like a pile of games with some free merchandise on the side! But given how you guys probably have this stuff flying in all the time, I can see why you’d feel the need to get rid of it.

Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 6:34 PMWell sir, I am starting late, but I am sufficientlyhumbled by the examples of schwag displayed so far. The game is afoot!

Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 7:36 PMWOW! A HAT!
Also games and stuff. Don’t have a wii but I think my local hospital has a game setup in the kids ward, would be a good donation of some wii games.
The Monkey Island badges would be mine however. I’d wear them on the hat and if anyone asked about them, I’d tell them they fight like a dairy farmer

Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 9:11 PMsingstar awesome stuff, it really feels like christmas you are giving so much away.
Steven Bogos
Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 11:10 PMBig fat pile of Wii shovelware (except maybe spyborgs) that anyone who won would take straight down to JB-Hi-Fi to trade in. Monkey Island pins are pretty cool, as is the borderlands T-shirt.
The wii sports resort hat WOULD be cool, if you could turn around the little band that said ‘wii sports resort’ on it :P
PS: This is going to cost you guys a craptonne in shipping, you’re really going to send it all to ONE guy?
Vel
Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 11:55 PMIt looks like the content of a bag that an artsy 20-something gym junkie-wannabe guy with a ‘gamer’ girlfriend would have.
In all honesty I’ll take the hat (maybe remove the white logo band and replace it), the T-shirt and that Singstar :D

Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 12:20 AMGood to see that the prize in the competition appeals to a lot of people so far, with the Wii and PS3 games shown already. Hopefully you have some 360 games to give away.

Wireless Singstar Mics! I’ve been craving to buy them for ages! It would be so much fun rocking out in Rock Band with them. My heart is beating so fast now.
