We finally got word back from Capcom, and here’s the deal. Turns out they’re taking so long to choose a winner for two reasons. One, the quality of entries was very, very high; and two, both Capcom and Marvel have to decide on a winner. They’ve promised that we will have a winner before Christmas, so stay tuned. In the meantime, kindly enter this post and ‘marvel’ at the incredible quality of these entries. We have a lot of talented people here in our community.
You may not be aware of this, since discussion has mostly gone on in the dark depths of Talk Amongst Yourselves, but the ever-awesome Kotaku community is currently in the midst of creating an Indie game as a giant, mega community project. Chances are you’ve heard of Axe Cop, the hilarious web comic written by a six year old and illustrated by his 29 year old brother. Set in a universe where a cop can have a pet T-Rex named Wexter and shoot apples from his hands, we often found ourselves wondering where he got his inspiration from. Turns out he gets most of his ideas from video games!
