If you’re going to make a commitment to doing something original, the odds are that you’re not going to get it right on the first chance,” Activision boss Bobby Kotick told Game Informer. “I think DJ Hero is a really innovative product. I can’t wait for you to see next year’s. That’s the thing; we’re sticking with it. We’ll stick with it and get it right.”
(Konami, of course, first released its turntable music games in Japanese arcades more than a decade ago.)
Kotick’s assurance that Activision will be sticking with DJ Hero validates French DJ David Guetta’s remarks that he’s working on DJ Hero 2.

It flopped because the track list appeals to nobody. Release it with some actual dance music and I’ll be all over it.

Definitely requires some good DLC with some house/electro/trance tunes that people who would DJ would like!
The tracks I play most often are the David Guetta DLC and the dance tunes (like Benny Benassi’s Satisfaction vs. Black Eyed Peas’ Boom Boom Pow)

Of course they won’t let it go, they’ll release a new one every month now, with a slightly upgraded controller that won’t work with the old games :P
