Create Your Own Worlds In The Sims 3

4:40AM January 12, 2010 | Mike Fahey

The Sims 3 allows you to create your own Sims, create your own home, and now you can create your own world, courtesy of The Sims 3 Create A World tool, a free download now available on TheSims3.com.

The Sims 3 Create A World tool (beta) allows registered users of EA’s latest life simulation to craft their Sims’ landscape from the ground up. Players can choose terrain patterns, plant trees and vegetation, pave roads, or place accent items like lighthouses and water towers, either starting from scratch or using templates based on Sunset Valley and Riverview, the two pre-made locations in the game. Once their creation is complete, they can share their worlds with the world via The Sims 3 Exchange.

Advanced world designers can import new textures for their worlds using tools like Photoshop, so there should be some interesting new locations popping up on the Exchange in the coming days.

Download The Sims 3 Create A World tool right now at the game’s official website.
