Aussie Nintendo Store: Whip It Real Good

What’s new this week for WiiWare, DSiWare and Virtual Console in Australia? Let’s find out from Vooks.

A big big week this week, with the the crown jewel having to be Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth, which has finally hit the Australian WiiWare service. For 1000 points you get a brand new Castlevania adventure which is loosely based on the Castlevania of old. Shame about the time it took to get here, but at least we’ve got it now!

Continuing the Vampire theme this week is Dracula: Undead Awakening for both WiiWare and DSiWare. The two are ports of the iPhone version and pit you against a large arena of non-stop enemies. At 1000 points, the WiiWare version is a bit pricey, but the DSiWare version is only 500 which is a little more reasonable. What’s different between the two versions remains a mystery, though.

The last WiiWare title this week is Reel Fishing Challenge from Natsume. This is again another one which has been out in the US for a while now, but if you’re after a serious fishing game on the Wii this isn’t too bad.

DSiWare has five titles week, including the previously mentioned Dracula: Undead Awakening. Birds and Bombs is published by Nintendo themselves and developed by Intelligent Systems. This game puts you in the role of a bird in the military who must throw bombs (no way!) in the mouths of ghosts. This one’s a bargain for only 200 points.

Gameloft has another DSiWare game this week, too, called Zoo Frenzy. It’s a Zoo Keeper-style simulation, but you maintain and feed the animals and zoo through mini games. Standard Gameloft pricing of 800 points applies. Finally, there are two more Elektroplankton sections – the final two in fact. These ones are Varvoice and Marine-Crystals.

Again no Virtual Console games.
