First Look At Transformers: War For Cybertron Gameplay Footage

Cutscenes are nice and all, but gameplay is what we want to see. And gameplay is what we will see!

Set before the Transformers had contact with Earth, multi-platform title War For Cybertron allows players to partake in the battle between Autobots and Decepticons. The game is being developed by High Moon Studios, best known for the Bourne Conspiracy game.

Oh, and cover-free Transformers: War For Cybertron is not Gears of War with Transformers.

Where was the gameplay footage? There was only about 15 seconds worth of video that could have been gameplay.

He would’ve been a Beetle in the movie, but VW have this whole “German shame” thing going on and don’t want it associated with something that’s primarily a war.

Is it just me or is anyone else annoyed as hell that Frank Welker isn’t doing the voice of Megatron for this game, yet he did for the last 2?. This game is shaping up to be pretty good but cmon… it just isn’t Transformers without the duo of Frank and Peter.

What? Megatron didn’t start the war, it’d been going for centuries before megatron or optimus prime were built damnit. Are these people not sad and obsessive fans??

lol – I guess it depends on which version of the history you go by. (and since I’ve seen no mention of ‘Orion Pax’ anywhere, I’m guessing this isn’t using the original G1 history)

These days, most of the ‘official’ lore seems to be coming from the comic books. (and the game seems to be heavily inspired by the ‘War Within’ series, so I’m guessing they’re following the more recently (re)written history)

      :P
