So please, share. It’ll be fun to see the number of different outcomes people wound up with. I’ll get the ball rolling. Oh, and in case you haven’t worked it out by now, this will consist almost entirely of spoilers.
I Knocked Boots With…
Miranda, as I’m a sucker for soft Aussie accents. Quite enjoyed the cutscene, too, as it’s nice to sometimes be reminded there are bras in space. As for why I passed over the other ladies of the Normandy, well, Yeoman Chambers was too easy, Tali is a little creepy and Jack was just…ungh, nothankyou.
I’ll Mourn The Passing Of…
Jacob Taylor, who was shot in the head after I sent him through the vents. I sent Jacob into the vents figuring that had suicide mission written all over it, and I was correct. Being my least favourite crew member (so boring), he was expendable.
Mordin Solus, who just… ended up dead on the ground as we were fleeing the Collector base. I never picked him for any responsibility during the last mission, so maybe he just passed on from the shame of it all. A pity, since I’ll miss his wisecracks, but hey, it’s a war, people die.
Zaeed Massani, who I quite liked until his loyalty mission, when it turned out he was actually a giant arsehole. Again guessing correctly that whoever led the second assault team was due an untimely demise, this was the perfect chance to be rid of him once and for all.
Can We Keep It?
No. I blew the Collector base sky high. I’m not the type to fight my way through giant Terminators and hordes of bugs only to pass up a giant space explosion.
Did I Make It?
Sure did. My Commander Shepard returned fit, healthy and ready for another round with the Reapers.
And The Illusive Man?
He’s a bad person. My Commander Shepard is not. So Martin Sheen was told, in more polite terms, to go fuck himself.
What Happens Next?
My Shepard was a maxed-out Paragon, so I was mighty tempted to restart the game with the bonus stats, see where the dark side could take me. In the end, though, my desire to collect little model starships and make the most of Miranda’s spare time convinced me to finish off all the game’s side missions instead.
So, that’s me done! How about you? Make it out alive? Get everyone killed? Sat through Mordin’s cautionary tale of Human/Quarian intercourse?

Friday, February 5, 2010 at 6:33 PMMourned the loss of my fish. (everyone else survived)
Killed giant terminator and blew up base.
Hung up on Illusive Man
After making it back in one piece slept with Miranda – who was worried about the upcoming suicide mission…
Now? bored of Nice Engineer Shep, time for Evil Biotic Shep

Friday, February 5, 2010 at 8:18 PMMy Mr Shepard hooked up with Tali.
Saved the crew.
Got Thane killed in the vents.
Chose Garrus as 2nd squad leader and he got shot but survived..tough bastard.

Told Illusive Man “No Thank you”

Friday, February 5, 2010 at 9:16 PMHooked up with: Tali
Lost most of the crew (due to them being rendered down before I got there), but the rest.
Lost no one in the assault on the collector base
(Chose Legion to hack the vents, Miranda to lead the fire team, Samara to do the shielding and Jacob to escort the crew back to the ship.
Blew up the collector base.

Miranda. Found her an interesting character (although to be fair, most of the characters in ME2 are), more than a bit gorgeous and, like Luke, loved the accent. It was great to hear an Australian in a game yet completely devoid of stereotype.
I’ll Mourn The Passing Of…
Kelly Chambers. I delayed going after the Collectors to better prepare my team and by the time I got there, it was too late for her. All party members survived, however, and Dr Chakwas was rescued. After wandering around the Normandy a bit post-credits, I’ll actually miss some of the nameless crew members as well. It’s a lonelier ship than it once was.
Can We Keep It?
Hell no. While I could, in some regards, see the reasoning behind attempting to use the technology against the Reapers, it’s too risky a proposition. Especially in the hands of the Illusive Man.
Did I Make It?
Yep. For a moment I thought Shepard was going to miss the jump onto the Normandy and the next moment I thought he was going to get shredded with bullets while hanging onto the door, but Miranda pulled him up in time.
And The Illusive Man?
Told him to get lost. Common goals had been completed, and his next steps sounded more like the Cerberus I knew in ME1.
What Happens Next?
I completely explored every system I have access to and completed all side quests I’d come across prior to heading through the Omega 4 relay, but I’ll see if there’s anything else out there and eagerly await DLC. Glad they made it so you can keep playing post-game this time around.

Sunday, February 7, 2010 at 2:47 AMSorry if this was already mentioned. To knock boots with all of them (assuming that they’re alive), romance Miranda first but keep Tali and Jack hanging by selecting the middle option. After finishing the collector base mission, continue playing the game. Talk to Miranda and dump her, then romance Tali. After knocking boots with her, talk to Tali and dump her, then romance Jack.

Jack AND Miranda… layed all the groundwork with miranda, then found my way through the chat to doin it with jack. did that, then miranda came to me later… i am pimp!
I’ll Mourn The Passing Of…
jacob – Got vented. Tali – Randomly Died, i failed her loyalty quest so… meh, didnt really care for her, didnt use her much in ME1 so had no real attachment. Garrus lead both the alternate teams as he is the hardest motherfucker around then i got him and legion for the final run.
Can We Keep It?
Hard choice… I was trying for renegade but ened with like 75% renegade and 55% paragon… since keeping it was renegade…. but couldnt do it. had to blow the fucker away.
Did I make it?
You can miss it? i got my hands to it and Legion pulled me up
Illusive man?
I took the “you work for me” option :) You are not in the West Wing now bitch!!! I love that guy.
What happens now?
Fly around, grab a few more upgrades, think i might be missing 1 toy… need some new fish.. mine keep dying. Then maybe another playthrough as a biotic or tech… did this as infiltrator.

Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 9:39 AMI managed to save my entire crew, even though Zaeed was not loyal to me. I wouldn’t kill the innocents and my paragon wasn’t at the ridiculously high level needed to make him loyal at the end of the mission.
Kelly died because I assumed this was like all other games were there is no sense of urgency :(
This made me genuinely upset because I was going to go for the girl on girl relationship option with her. Oh well I guess I will work on Thane instead.
Also I blew up the Collector base, I personally didn’t think it was a good idea, but I figured my paragon character would frown upon it.

Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 11:01 PMHmm, i really liked mordin i used his Incinerate ability a lot, thought it was really useful.
Only Thane died in my mission because miranda failed with the shields, but its not too bad since he was dieing of a respitory condition anyway. Shepard survived and is a full renegade and 3/4 paragon thanks to the help of my ME1 Shepard. Didnt destroy the station though so really curious how ME3 will play out.

Miranda, That ass just calls to me. Might have a crack at jack now seeing as iv already had teh secks with Miranda
I’ll Mourn The Passing Of…
Thane. He one interesting character, and im annoyed that had I actually chosen a competent biotic he wouldn’t have died in the shield stage. Still he was already dieing anyway. Also Chambers, shes such a slut which was a massive turn on
Can We Keep It?
I kept it. Interesting to see how it plays out in ME3, and i think it will be a benefit in the long run, if not im hoping you can intervene and kill the Illusive Man in ME3 if he gets too ambitious (I have a suspicion he’s the Shadow Broker)
Did I make it?
Pffft you serious im fucking Shepard, ‘course i made it
Illusive man?
Told him to STFU and not get over ambitious with the station
What happens now?
Start 2nd play through, a paragon biotic to counter my renegade infiltrator? Do choices made in the 2nd play using your same Shepard overwrite your first play through? or does it only take into account the first playthrough

Monday, February 15, 2010 at 11:45 AMI feel a little disappointed, because I’m a sucker for tragedy in dramatic stories, and everyone but Tali lived. I didn’t buy all of the upgrades for the ship, so when it was hit, she died, and it was very sad, but EVERYONE else lived through the suicide mission. I mean, I guess that means I’m a good leader and made the right decisions, but after finding out that EVERYONE can die, including Shepard, I was a little disappointed by how good I did. Oh well, I liked all of the characters.

Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 4:53 PMSeriously, you people need to think about your options by considering the character’s backgrounds and traits for they’re suicide mission jobs. Think about they’re background, traits, characteristics. They may just seem like little details, but if you pay attention to your crew, and think about them, you’ll make the right decisions.
I Knocked Boots With…
Tali. Miranda was a bit too ‘kill them all if they’re not us’ for me, and Jack was a bit too ‘kill them all if they move’. And I’ve had too much experience with therapists and counselors to even consider Kelly. Even if she is a stripper. Tali was just sweet.
I’ll Mourn The Passing Of…
Miranda. She was a Cerberus Fanatic on occasion, but she was strong, intelligent, and capable. She earned my respect, even if I lost hers in that spat with Jack. She was a regrettable loss, and won’t be forgotten. Though in retrospect, she may have been a possible traitor in ME3, since I turned my back on the Illusive Man. Aside from her, all of my crew made it back alright.
Can We Keep It?
The base died in a tragic (yet totally wicked) explosion of fire and death. Due in no small part to me and my crew.
Did I Make It?
Yep. Commander Sheperd came through A-OK.
And The Illusive Man?
I made it quite clear the Illusive man won’t be so illusive to me. If able, I will hunt his sorry creepy-eyed butt down in ME3, and personally put a bullet between his robo-eyes.
What Happens Next?
Find whatever else I can blow up, knock down, cause havoc, and who else I can give a really bad day. Which is totally weird, considering I’m a Paragon.

I Knocked Boots With…
Jacob, was hoping he’d get my female shep to show some skin… NOPE.
I’ll Mourn The Passing Of…
Tali – She got shot trying to close the door after going through the vents. Liked her until her loyalty mission, now her race is my least favorite with all their infighting and boohooing. Wanted to play with her and then run away, but didn’t mind if she ended up a fried hamster. After I chose legion over her, and she was boohooing, I figured might as well let her take the risks.
Thane – Got carried away by the bugs. Pissed me off, the assassins were my favorite two characters… well, aside from the girl running the strip club.
Can We Keep It?
Yes, kept everything possible during the game. Legion family values, research for genophage cure, and the collector ship.
Did I make it?
Yip! Had some scares there.
Illusive man?
Neutral response (as much as possible). We’ll see what happens.
What happens now?
Dunno, maybe go through again and give Miranda some lovin. Disappointed that she didn’t swing both ways.

Yeoman Chambers, although it was abit easy. After I took down the collectors, it seems my female shepard is wanting to get it on with Thane and/or Samara.
I’ll Mourn The Passing Of…
Jack, the Psychotic Biotic. Even though I did everyones loyalty missions, including hers early on, as myself and the two squad members with me escaped the collector ship ka-boom, for some reason she was dead on the ground for no reason during the cutscene and not selectable anymore. I’m guessing it was the decision to side with Miranda and not Jack that turned that tide abit… especially since Jack wouldn’t talk to me at all after that. Just a big F-U.
Otherwise, everyone else survived this time including all of the crew!
Who Did You Send Back With The Normandy Crew During The Suicide Mission, If Any?
I sent Jacob back, as I only used him during the very first game mission and on his loyalty mission. I figured I didn’t need him for anything, so off he went back to the ship with the Normandy crew. They made it back alive. Guess he wasn’t so useless after all…
Can We Keep It?
I decided that after fighting for my life through giant bugs and super-juiced-up giant bugs (damn harbingers!), I figured keeping their ugly ass space station base around would be a blight on the universe… so I made it explode real nice
Did I Make It?
Yep, sure did. All healthy and ready to wipe out some more collectors in ME3!
And The Illusive Man?
I basically told him to go screw himself. I’ve got a kick-ass team, a kick-ass ship. It’ll be interesting to see what happens in the next installment.
What Happens Next?
I ended the game on almost full paragon with almost half the renegade bar filled. Now I’m visiting every planet and scanning the crap out of them looking for resources and missions… then I’ll go back and buy everything on every station I can. Just because I can.
Favorite Squad Members To Use?
I would have to say Grunt and Kasumi. I’m liking Legion alot especially since he came in so handy during the Suicide Mission at the end of the game. I love Kasumi’s Shadow Strike ability and Grunt is just damned tough.

Tali. She is a sweet woman. I suspected that her crush on Shepherd meant she was very close to the human species and is probably beautiful. I did like her personality a lot and I like that more than beauty. Miranda is a real jerk.
I’ll Mourn The Passing Of…
Garrus
Jack
Miranda
Jacob
I didn’t keep the geth robot so I lost more people. Didn’t want to. I beat the ending 3 or 4 times with my team to try and get the remaining crew I wanted to have for ME3 (mainly everyone with connections). I got everybody I wanted except for Miranda (grrrr.) Even though she’s a jerk she is well connected with the illusive man. Her loss means it’ll be harder to keep an eye on him in ME3. I think I’ll just accept my losses and play through ME3 this way (BUT I NEED MIRANDA DANG IT!)
Can We Keep It?
Absolutely. Coming from a family whose dad is an engineer, new tech is always useful if not necessary. And, to battle a species that’s been around for over 100,000 years longer than you, that information is totally necessary. Will the illusive man use it for his own interests? Most likely, but one thing at a time. Shepherd can stop him too just like he did the collectors.
Did I Make It?
Yep.
And The Illusive Man?
As narrow sided as he is, I didn’t presume to know his intentions based on assumptions of others. Nothing was clear in ME2 that confirmed the bad experiments were his. Is he bent on cerburus ruling the galaxy. Probably, but it’s not going to happen even if he has collector equipment. I worked for him and respected his decisions and insight. I’m ready to fight him though, if he betrays me. There’s just no need to do it until it happens.
What Happens Next?
I already imported my character from ME2 beaten on hard and then replay at the insanity difficulty. SO INTENSE! I upgraded my character a lot.
I really want to have Miranda on my team still for ME3. She has too much knowledge of cerberus to lose. But, I don’t think there is a way to successful save her and keep the other squad members I want -_-. Maybe I’ll try again later.
