Part racing game, part blowing stuff up, Black Rock Studio’s Split/Second hits May 21 in North America, Disney Interactive Studios announced today.
The game is due out on the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
I haven’t had a chance to check the game out recently, but I enjoyed my time with it when I played through a map last summer. The game has players racing in a reality TV show that features tracks that allow gamers to trigger explosive events that can take out other racers or change the course.
Kotaku AU Note: Split/Second doesn’t yet have a confirmed Aussie release date, but expect it at the end of May.

Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 10:18 PMI stand by my statement that racing games really do have the best cover art. Although this reminds me of Burnout Paradise, still a good cover and i’m sure going to be one hell of a game.
Can’t wait! I love me some Death Race.

Monday, May 3, 2010 at 1:43 PMjust downloaded the demo for xbox 360 and yes i am now going to buy the game it is as fun as cooking marshmallows with a jet engine.(instant fun)
and with me being more of a shooter fan this is like burnout but with loads more explosions and its easer to wreak other cars.
demo is about 6/10.
what i reckon the game needed is a few guns (full auto) or a sandbox mode EG. go anywere do anything.
