How would you like to conquer Europe? You can this week, thanks to the release of Sega and the Creative Assembly’s Napoleon: Total War and our giveaway.
Napoleon is the latest in the Creative Assembly’s ten-year old Total War series. It mixes turn-based strategy and real-time battles as one height-challenged Frenchman attempts to turn Europe into his personal empire. And it’s out this week, exclusively on PC.
We have FIVE of the EB exclusive Emperor’s Editions to give away, each containing:
* Collector’s Edition box
* Collector’s packaging
* 2 Disc Digipack
* A3 poster illustrated Napoleon biography
* Napoleon’s Field Journal
* Napoleon 8” statuette
* Elite Regiment unit pack
* Heroes of the Napoleonic Wars unit pack
To be in the running to win, we want you to rewrite history. To the tune of Abba. By cleverly rewriting all or part of the lyrics, can you turn their hit “Waterloo” into a celebration of Napoleon’s glorious victory over Europe?
Leave your entry in the comments below. You’ve got until midnight EDT Friday to get your entry in. No multiple entries allowed.
Good luck!
UPDATE: I’ve decided to switch up the rules on this comp because I’ll now be out of the office all day Wednesday and most of Thursday. That’ll make it difficult to manage the planned daily giveaways. So instead, you can enter the comp on this post between now and midnight Friday. I’ll then pick the five best entries over the course of the week.

Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 3:48 PMMy my, at Waterloo Napoleon was triumphant
Oh yeah, and Wellington he died in quite a gruesome way
The history book on the dais
Is really a bunch of lies
Waterloo – rest were defeated, France won the war
Waterloo – promise to love you for ever more
Waterloo – couldn’t escape, could you silly clowns?
Waterloo – knowing my fate is to wear the crowns
Waterloo – finally facing my Waterloo
My my, I tried to let you run but you were stupid
Oh yeah, and now it seems your only chance is giving up the fight
And how could I ever refuse?
It’s tails I win heads you lose!
Waterloo – Wellington lost, the short guy won!
Waterloo – history books lie, I am the gun!
Waterloo – couldn’t have lost if I wanted to
Waterloo – can’t think of a good rhyme to wanted to
And how could I ever refuse?
All Europe must now wear flat shoes!
Waterloo – Wellington lost, the short guy won!
Waterloo – history books lie, I am the gun!
Waterloo – couldn’t have lost if I wanted to
Waterloo – can’t think of a good rhyme to wanted to

Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 10:36 AMI changed nearly the whole story about him and Waterloo
My My, before Waterloo, Napoleon never surrendered
many men showed up to fight for their ruler
history books filled dragede him away from his home
enemies filled the earth Frenchmen ran the victory be
Waterloo – Napoleon Won The War Hoorayy
Waterloo – Napoleon tried to get Europe to speak French Hoorayy
Waterloo – enemies trembled at the name of him from France Hoorayy
Waterloo – enemies knew their fate when they saw the French army, what could they do? Hoorayy
Waterloo – Many enemies feared him, but Wellington beat up who was the lord Hoorayy
My, My soldiers died every second of every volley hit hard
Wellington fled closest when he saw the white horse ride up the hill
cavalry with him in the back attacked him with a shot around him
When they saw him ride up the race in overall tropical back where they came from
shot swirl around him ran down to the river
Waterloo – they got killed by a simple artellery officer Hoorayy
Waterloo – will soon meet the doom of England Hoorayy
Waterloo – France show their true strength is now convinced Hoorayy
Waterloo – what would happen if Napoleon had not turned on at Waterloo? Hoorayy
Waterloo – Napoleon is now ruler of most of Europe Hoorayy
my, my, with a bullet in his arm, he rode off down the river which awaited a death
and look what he saw that the British race he saw them move away from there
but with a shot that sounded and struck his best officer
so all the dead man fall from his horse Napoleon, the man with the gun
Napoleon walked about as dead and wounded lie on the ground and thought that is what I have achieved?

“Tina you fat lard!”

Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 6:43 AMAre you guys in the Land Down Under and talking about waring in Europe??
;-)
I am sitting on location, in Europe itself, and am desperately looking for a Napoleon Total War: Emperors edition (1st choice) with the statue and all.
It seems that edition only were distributed to Cangaroo-Island ;-) and New Zeeland.
The stores in Europe only carries the (3rd choice) Basic Edition now since the Imperial Edition (2nd choice) is totally sold out.
I did however find the imperial edition at a Amazon webstore in RedNeckLand (the US), of all places…
Now, the Imperial Edition seems to be imported in the US, which normally only carries an up-hotted version of the Basic Edition called Limited Edition of Napoleon Total War.
Buying emperors edition from Australia seems way too ambitous even for me…
Who knows… it could be contaminated by cangaroos or whatever you guys play with Down Under… *hehehe*
Take care guys…
