You Got Your Kotaku In My Steam!!!

We’ve always been big fans of Steam, Valve’s game delivering and online game hosting service, but now we have one more reason to love it: Kotaku is an official news provider for the system.

Now you never have to leave Steam, even to get the latest and greatest coverage of all things video gaming. To access Kotaku while you’re in Steam just click on News and then on the Kotaku tag under Syndicated. Our stories should also be showing up under the related games.

Keep in mind that this is only available to those of you in the Beta for now, but that’s sure to change in the near future.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this out in the middle of a L4D2 game – the inclusion of game-specific news in the game overlay really helps streamline the UI.

    I think its awesomeness,

Now if only they could get steam to stop sucking so much,
what with the resource hogging and slow startup,
and updating games when i only want to play a quick game.
