It’s a quartet of updates on the Nintendo stores this week—two each for the Wii and DS. There are several titles missing from the DSiWare store but they’re all travel guides in languages for European countries so we’re not too cut up about that.
The first Wii title up this week is the companion to WarioWare D.I.Y. on the DS which came out in stores this week. WarioWare D.I.Y. Showcase doesn’t let you create microgames but you can download and rate all the microgames DS users have created. There are even microgames made for the game by famous developers. You don’t need to have WarioWare D.I.Y for this but at 800 Points, you’ve got to be interested.
The second game this week is a port of the third game in the Phoenix Wright series, Trials and Tribulations. Weighing in at 1000 Points, it is expensive for a WiiWare game but still cheaper than the retail DS game. For the money you get a sloppy port but a great game. The Phoenix Wright series is worth playing through; they are compelling games but if you haven’t played any of them, play them in order.
DSi owners get a new racing game in the form of Ferrari GT: Evolution from Gameloft. This one is a fresh one so no word on how it’ll play, but Gameloft’s previous racing efforts on DSiWare have been pretty neat and tidy affairs. Finally there’s More Bloody Horowitz. Where was the last Horowitz, we ask? It’s actually another chapter in the Flips interactive book series and costs 200 Points.
