Doom II & Voodoo Dice Do Xbox Live Arcade Wednesday

It’s double the dose of Xbox Live Arcade this week, as id Software’s classic demonic shooter Doom II and mystical puzzle game Voodoo Dice do their thing for the Xbox 360 owner looking for something downloadable.

Voodoo Dice, if you’re not already intimately familiar with it, is “an innovative puzzler that challenges you to solve puzzles in unique and interesting ways in a quest to conquer the voodoo universe.” It’ll set you back 800 Microsoft Points.

Doom II, as you probably already know, is an old-school first-person shoot that challenges you to kill demons in unique and interesting ways in a quest to conquer the demon universe. Or just kill a lot of demons. No price (yet), but since the original Doom for XBLA was a mere 400 Microsoft Points, we’re hoping it’s similarly priced.

So Doom 2 is releasing tomorrow and there’s no price yet. Hmmm. Methinks they might be watching various internet forums to see how many people are excited for it. Wouldn’t be surprised if they make it 800 points.

YES! I was hoping for Doom 2! I finished Doom on XBLA and loved it. The controls work perfect for me. Cant wait. However I hope its not more expensive than the original Doom.

Normally I’d buy Doom straight away, but after buying and never playing the other one on Live, I’ll probably just pass.

I’m enjoying playing through the original Doom on XBLA at the moment. Hopefully Doom 2 will be priced at 400 points as well.

Actually, Doom was originally 800 points, so definitely expect Doom II to follow suit.
