Capcom’s zombie paradise action title Dead Rising 2 was supposed to be out on August 31 in North America and September 3 in Europe. It’ll now miss both those dates.
The Japanese publisher just let us know that the game will now be out on September 28 in the US and Canada, while Europeans have to wait a few days long, until October 1.
No reason was given for the delay, but we’ll update you if we hear anything more.
Kotaku AU Note: It’s delayed here, too. Expect it out either September 30 or October 7. Capcom’s Aussie distributor THQ will confirm that closer to the date.

Monday, June 28, 2010 at 6:40 PMA 1 month delay isn’t as horrible as it could have been. I was having nightmarish flashbacks to last year when so many AAA games were delayed until Jan on this year.

Monday, June 28, 2010 at 7:44 PMi think it has to do with dead rising case zero they want more time to get that out before dead rising 2, yeah i am worried about the australian version as you inject your daughter with needles(zombrex) and we all know what happened to fallout 3

Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 10:32 AMFingers crossed they will see this as a medicine for the child. The problem with Fallout 3 originally was that you were injecting yourself with morphine which is a real world drug that you can become addicted to. Zombrex on the other hand is fictional, so it should be fine…I hope!
