Lord Of The Rings: War In The North Trailer Is Cutting Throats, Taking Names

It’s a good thing Warner Bros now owns the rights to both the Lord of the Rings books and movies. It means they can do stuff like this, which is a little bit of both.

The “War in the North” is barely touched upon in either books or the films, but this game makes that setting its home. And it’s a home that looks set to be covered in Orc’s blood, with even these brief flashes enough to show several limbs being lopped off, some hacking, some slashing and even a bit of piano wire action at the end.

War in the North is due for PC, 360 and PS3, and will be out next year.

Well, that told me precisely nothing about the game itself. :P

It looks a hell of a lot like the trailers for Dragon Age

Looks awesome, but I can’t but think that it’s a perversion of the Lord of the Rings.

Hmm surprisingly that does look good. A lot better than the other LOTR games.. (in my opinion anyway)
