Monster Hunter has players carry giant weapons to hunt, wait for it, monsters.
Namco Bandai has released PSP game God Eater, a game in which players carry giant weapons to hunt monsters. Square Enix has recently revealed Lord of Arcana, a PSP title in which players… you get the point.
Capcom did not invent hunting monsters with giant swords. But the Osaka-based game company did prove it could be popular on the Sony PSP.
But can you tell which is Monster Hunter and which are the games it appears to have influenced?

Is this Monster Hunter, God Eater or Lord of Arcana?

Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 5:55 PMIt’s nice, albeit cluttering and unnecessary, that LoA includes a hp counter, not just a bar. Incase some of us have a hard time interpretting a bar, we have numbers!
Yeah, poor Monster Hunters – I really hope they only people buying those others is because they need MORE of a monster hunter fix. They really did create something quite.. if not polished, close to.
