Canabalt Creator Heads Up Freeplay Speaker Lineup

Adam Saltsman, creator of runaway (groan!) iPhone hit Canabalt, will be among the speakers next month at Freeplay, the indepedent games festival in Melbourne.

Freeplay has announced its program and ticketing details for the indie games conference happening at the State Library of Victoria over the weekend of August 14 and 15.

“This year, we have over 50 speakers across our 29 sessions on play, innovative business development, and game design – as well as the inaugural Freeplay awards to highlight the best in local and international independent game development,” says Freeplay co-director Paul Callaghan.

“Our commitment to bringing innovative international speakers out to share their experiences continues with Adam Saltsman, creator of the iPhone hit Canabalt, and Brandon Boyer, the new chairman of the Independent Games Festival.”

You can view the full program of panel sessions and workshops at the Freeplay website. Tickets are $22 for the weekend and are available now at Moshtix.

I’ll be heading down this year. Hopefully I’ll see some of you down there, too.
