It might not contain an undead tourist like the European special edition, but the North American exclusive Zombrex edition of Dead Rising 2 is actually rather nice. The collection delves deeper into the fiction behind the game, with a focus on Zombrex, an extremely expensive zombification prevention drug – the only cure for an undead infection.
What does $US79.99 buy PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players?
Packed inside the two-disc steelbook case is the game, of course, a Zombrex syringe pen, prescription notepad, prospectus sales brochure, safety card, and a 48-page hardback Dead Rising 2 art book.
PlayStation 3 owners will also enjoy a Blu-Ray disc featuring a high definition making-of featurette, along with a voucher for a downloadable XMB theme.
Xbox 360 owners will score the featurette on a regular DVD, along with the 83-minute Zombrex Dead Rising Sun movie, directed by Mega-Man creator Keiji Inafune.
And that’s $US80 worth of North American Dead Rising 2 special edition! Who’s buying?

Friday, July 16, 2010 at 10:39 AMJB HI-FI have listed the Dead Rising CE at $99 BUX !!
Way cheaper than Game and EB.
I don’t see why I should pay an extra 40-50 bux more just to get an extra figurine…although a ninja figurine, would be kinda cool…but still.
