The Creative Assembly knows how to make Japanese real-time strategy very attractive, going by this new Shogun 2: Total War cinematic trailer that was “captured in-game.” Based on Shogun 2′s gorgeous artwork and screens, it shouldn’t be that surprising.

Oh sure, maybe they specifically rendered some of that footage for the trailer using the ingame ENGINE, but if you try to tell me that the game itself will actually look that awesome in normal play, I’m afraid I will have to call you a liar to your face. It’s simply not credible.
This still looks like a must-get either way.

Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 4:31 PMI don’t see why it wouldn’t be in game footage.. nothing about it really screams CG animation to me.. i mean CG normally looks much more refined.. i mean this is good.. but CG is usually better…
In the end i don’t care – it’ll still be an awesome game..

Shogun was my favourite game when i was like 14. looks like i’ll have a new favourite.
