That date is October 28, according to distributor QV Software.
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift is to BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger as Super Street Fighter IV was to Street Fighter IV. That means three new characters, new moves, and new modes. And like Calamity Trigger, Continuum Shift will be released on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
No word as yet on whether QVS are also bringing out the official Tournament Edition arcade sticks, but we’re trying to persuade them that would be a clever idea.
Fighting fans, are two BlazBlues one too many? Or not enough?

Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 9:18 AMWell, considering the first Blazblue game was released last year overseas, it’s nice to see the updated version getting a timely release!

Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 9:19 AMGreat to hear. Still personally undecided if I want to get the PS3 import later this month, but otherwise, good to know.
You also wouldn’t happen to also have a price, would you David?

Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 10:41 AMNo RRP has been set at this stage. Expect a mid-range price point.

Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 9:20 AMAnyone know if we’ll be getting those three new DLC characters as part of the package?

Sunday, August 8, 2010 at 3:21 PMHah! You wish!
Considering it’s been delayed 4 months as opposed to the American release, I’d say getting the DLC characters would be pretty apt compensation, but that’s just dreaming. They’ll charge us $110 for the delayed game and a further ~$60 for the 3 DLC characters that should have been in at launch. Shafted as always.

Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 9:36 AMYay. I’ve been holding off on getting Calamity Trigger in the hope that Continuum Shift would come out this year. Seems it was a good bet.

Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 9:48 AMI wonder if I’ll be able to get Calamity Trigger cheap when Continuum Shift si released?

Friday, July 16, 2010 at 2:06 AMI got my copy from Game preowned (although immaculate) for $25 during their sale. Well worth the money. And hell, I need more Aussies to play against. ^^

Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 9:56 AMYou can get calamity Trigger pretty cheap now. About $37-56 dollars for the limited edition.
I really enjoyed the game and I suck at fighting games. I don’t know if I’ll get Continum shift, seeing as I already have it. What are the extra characters and modes?
Also, ask them if the 360 version can get an arcade stick as well, just faceplates is crap.

Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 11:32 AMYou don’t have to be jealous, because the stick for the PS3 was an almighty piece of fail. It didn’t register diagonals without you having to physically push the stick (as opposed to moving it) diagonally. I’m getting a new stick this weekend, because then I can have more fun on Blazblue.

Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 10:35 AMGlad to hear the game is getting an update but why only 3 characters. I know there is a huge story buried in this game so are these 3 just a taste of what they are working on?

Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 10:49 AMThere will be 3 more characters as DLC actually, for a total of 6 new characters. As for whether these DLC characters are on the disc… people have checked the disc of the Japanese version and they pretty much only have their theme music and character select art on the disc, their sprites aren’t there. Also, 2 of them haven’t been officially announced yet.

Friday, July 16, 2010 at 5:28 PM2 BlazBlues would DEFINITELY not be too many if Calamity Trigger hadn’t been DELAYED SO FRIGGIN’ LONG!
Christ, I thought we were past this shit already?

Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 5:23 PMI wouldn’t hold your breath for any DLC. I mean, we still can’t download CT’s DLC.
