ATHF Meatstroke Trailer Isn’t Funny

Kotaku AU

Those who enjoyed the Aqua Teen Hunger Force show from Adult Swim some years back would’ve loved to have an equally funny game. The cracked humour seems tailor made for us. But the PS2 game that eventually did come out was abysmal, and judging from the trailer for their new iPhone game, we can expect more of the same.

Meatstroke, Adult Swim’s new iPhone game, promises to be “one of the most ridiculous games on the app store.” But we still haven’t seen any evidence that Adult Swim can make games – and aside from the odd cry of “Leeroy Jenkins!” from Master Shake in the PS2 game (which quickly lost its novelty), the game was devoid of humour – as is this trailer.

ATHF was always too bizarre for me. I watched it but for the life of me I didn’t (and still don’t) know why. . .

I’m still waiting for Clam Digger to get made into a real game. Although there are some good Clam Digger levels on LittleBigPlanet.
