Tonight, publisher Activision and developer Treyarch will be holding a multiplayer preview event for the next game in the wildly successful Call of Duty series. Kotaku will be there, enjoying our first hands-on time with Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Keep an eye peeled for new Call of Duty: Black Ops video, gameplay impressions and whatever may come of Treyarch’s presentation from the event. If you have any questions about what we’re seeing and what we’re playing, please let us know in the comments.
The action kicks off at 6pm Pacific (11am tomorrow AEST), so stay tuned for details.

look as long as it doesnt have the incredibad spawn system of MW2
so many times ive spawned in with an enemy right in front of me ive even had a couple were ive spawned on nades
that was never an issue in MW

That was totally an issue with MW! The servers were constantly overcrowded and people would just nade spam the crap out spawns.

can you please tell us if the game has noticeable recoil cause all i can see from the mp trailer is that much like MoH it has no recoil

And please no overpowered weapons like shotguns, and killstreaks to make people want to camp.
I hate campers… I always ask them if they were in the scouts because they are so good at camping, sometimes it gets a chuckle and we have a good conversation. Other times they just tell me to fu#* off.

My only request is that you be brutally honest in comparison with other and previous games. I’m sure Treyarch will do their best to hype this, not that they will really have to as I’m sure a lot of hype will build up around it anyway. Due to this, I would like an honest opinion if this feels just like another COD game or if it does something different in gameplay.

Official: BLACK OPS HAS THE WORST SPAWN SYSTEM THE HISTORY OF THE ENTIRE FRANCHISE!
Just played for 2 hours. Didn’t seem to matter which map although nuketown was by far the worst. I may take a dump on my disc and mail it back to treyarch and label it : Official review – CRAPPY.
JUST MY $.02 worth.
