Developers Just Add Water have stated on their blog “we are NOT PS3 Exclusive. As far as we are concerned we are a multi-platform company, supporting the big 3, PC/PS3 & 360″. So why has only a PS3 version of the classic shooter been revealed?
It’s because of file-size limitations. The game in its bare state clocks in at 2.1GB on the PS3, while Xbox Live Arcade has a maximum file size limit of 2GB. JAW say “either we have to pull a miracle out of the bag with some type of amazing compression system, or ask Microsoft to increase their 2GB limit”.
That or downgrade the graphics a touch to get it under the limit. Indeed, it seems to simple a solution that were JAW to come out in a few months and say “oh, hey, it’s coming to the Xbox 360 now too”, we wouldn’t exactly be shocked. Especially since that explanation doesn’t cover the lack of a PC version.
Xbox360 yes/no? [JAW]

Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 6:22 AMThey can revise this and up the limit to 2.5GB.
I mean what about the Games On Demand?
They have to release it after all it was originally on Xbox and the more people get to enjoy this game on all platforms the better.
But do not comprimise quality and release something half assed.
Glad to hear the voice acting is being altered many enemies were too similar in the original.

Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 10:37 AMOrigionally it was so that games would fit on memory cards. The whole not every xbox has a hard drive issue. They’ve been pushing it up and up so now I don’t think there really is any point, is there? Why not make it 16gb as that’s the size of the USB sick you can use(well, 16gb minus the system files it puts on there).
