God Of War Collection Has Its Revenge On PSN Next Month

If you wanted to own the God of War Collection for the PlayStation 3, but couldn’t in good conscience bring that box art into your home, Sony has good news. That pair of PlayStation 2 ports is going digital.

The God of War Collection sheds its Blu-ray coil for a PlayStation Store release in North America on November 2, SCEA said today. That means you’ll be able to download high-definition remakes of God of War and God of War II from the comfort of your internet connection very soon.

The digital release does not include any of the bonus features contained on the physical release, which just joined Sony’s Greatest Hits line.

Interestingly, the PlayStation.blog specifically mentions three individual titles – God of War: Collection, God of War HD and God of War II HD – so these re-releases may come a la carte. We’ll see if that’s the case.
