Video Game Ads Were Better In The 1930s

One of the best things about early 20th-century transportation was the advertising. Cruise ships, airlines and car companies all used bold, iconic ads to sell their vision of the future. It’s a vision that transfers easily to classic video games.

IGNs art team whipped up this line of ads showing how video game vehicles would have sold themselves if they were around in the 1930s. They’re a little hit-and-miss, but when they hit – and anything involving F-Zero is a hit in my books – they’re great.

Best part is they’re in decent resolutions, so you can print them off and make little fake postcards with them.
