Nintendo, in my opinion at least, has had a really good year in terms of solid games: Super Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid: Other M, Donkey Kong Country Returns, etc, etc. And to their credit Nintendo Australia has done a good job of making sure we’ve gotten most games in a timely fashion – but the Kirby delay still rankles! Well, Australia is usually in line with the Europe release of games, so the fact the the Kirby’s Epic Yarn is due for release on the 25th of Feb in Europe, may suggest that Aussies will get the game on a similar date.
We asked Nintendo, who came back with a polite, “it’s still TBC”. If we were to speculate, however, we would imagine that February 24, being that it falls on a Thursday, may be a good bet – or possibly the week after on March 3.
Of course we have no way of knowing for sure at this early stage. Nintendo as a whole has a terrifying fear of getting release dates wrong, and therefore tend to let us know pretty late in the day. We’ve been told that a date should be firmed up by January.
More news as we get it.
