Turn Your Phone Into A Game Rating Encyclopaedia

The Entertainment Software Rating Board, America’s classification outfit for video games, has a new iPhone (and Android) app out, and it’s surprisingly handy!

Taking advantage of your smartphone’s camera, it allows users to take a snap of the cover of a game off the shelf and be beamed not just a ratings description for the game, but a brief content summary as well.

That makes it useful for parents, sure, but also for everyone, given the highly entertaining nature of some of the Board’s descriptions.

If you’ve got the game cover in your hand to take the photo… couldn’t you just turn it over to get that information?
