So says Team Ninja leader Yosuke Hayashi of the developer’s latest beat ‘em up. While the latest Dead or Alive: Dimensions trailer teased the inclusion of Samus, if only in morph ball form, Hayashi tells Eurogamer “This time she’s not playable. But Samus Aran will be shown in the game. She comes to help the player.”
Presumably only in the Metroid: Other M-themed stage featuring Samus nemesis Ridley.
Metroid fans will have to settle for the fighting styles of Samus in Super Smash Bros. Brawl or whatever bounce Samus will get from laying a Power Bomb, it seems.

Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 10:25 AMHere’s a very spooky thought – what if they decide to make her a playable character in the beach volleyball series?
Just so everyone knows, I hate that series even more than Too Human and Avatar: The Game put together.

Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 2:28 PMAmen. I enjoyed Too Human, and got a lot more gameplay out of it than many titles in recent years. A few of us at my work brought it, and we all played heaps of co-op together. It was great fun, and hell, I even really like using the right stick to attack.
It wasn’t perfect, far from it in fact, but it was fun dammit, and that’s what matters.
Also, my beserker would whoop anyone if there was versus. =D

Give it a break, I am entitled to my own opinion and I should not be ridiculed because of it.

Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 11:27 AMAs long as they don’t shove her in a bikini and make her jump up and down. I mean, I know she’s been sexualised in the past, but not the extent those Dead or Alive characters have been. I’m hoping it stays that way.

Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 5:23 PMSamus has now lost what made her so appealing. She was a badass character with a lot of mystery. Now everything about her is sexual in some way. It’s pathetic. They should take a lesson from James Camerons and Ridley Scotts Alien and Aliens – Sigourney Weavers character is a prime example of a badass female.

Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 8:34 PMI do not mean to be rude, but Weaver’s character is not an example.
It is the textbook definition of being a female badass, :-P.
