Have we seen all there is to F.E.A.R.? In this behind-the-scenes video the Day 1 Studios team explains how it’s keeping the experience and the terror fresh in F.E.A.R. 3.
I am intrigued by this notion of wide-open spaces in what is essentially a horror first-person shooter. Ever since the original Alien I’ve felt the only way to make a man with access to ridiculous amounts of firepower truly terrified is to place him in tight confines where the range of his weapons is no longer an advantage.
While there’s still plenty of close-quarters combat in F.E.A.R. 3, the wide-open space shown in this clip have me wondering where the scares will come from. Perhaps creepy little girl turned mother Alma has something to do with it.
F.E.A.R. 3 is due out in May for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
