Personally I think this is awesome. With all the obsession with unboxing new kit, it’s nice to see someone getting nostalgic over something old. Draxx from the overclockers forum did just that – purchasing an unopened Amiga CD32, then running an unboxing photo post for our viewing pleasure. Brace your kidneys folks – it’s time to get nostalgic.
Step 1: You take a look at the box.
Step 2: Then you open the box.
Step 3: You take it out of the box.

Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 3:52 PMThat’s beautiful. I would love to get my hands on some old consoles and unbox them again for the first time. There’s no better feeling. =D

Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 3:56 PMI remember selling the CD32′s in New Zealand. I also remember selling the previous model called the CDTV.
Great times.

Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 6:41 PMI still remember a bank in Canada had placed an order for a stupid number of these, one million I think, for day-to-day use as business machine. Just before Commodore folded. Unless it was just hype to get more sold.
Ah nostalgia… I feel the need to boot up the Amiga emulator and play some Armageddon.

Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 7:02 PMThat first pic has a whole box of boxed AmigaCD32s! Incredible! Me want one, as this is one of the consoles I want to add to my retro collection. Seeing a whole box of em makes me jealous as shit.

Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 12:36 AMI still have my CD32 from back in the day sitting in a closet somewhere. I never really used it much and it was a huge waste of money at the time :P

Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 1:06 AMI don’t think we ever got the Amiga here, or maybe I’m confusing it with the Turbo Grafx… So I don’t really know what all the fuss is about, wish I did though. I’ve tried out almost all the rare retro consoles; Jaguar, Atari 7800 and so on.

Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 10:37 AMI’m guessing you’re not in Australia? Because we definitely had the Amiga here and it was glorious. Some absolutely classic games for it. Amiga was actually a computer rather than a console. But the CD32 was basically an Amiga 1200 with the keyboard removed and a CD drive added on. It was not successful :P
You’re correct that we never got TurboGrafx/PC Engine here. I think that was only released in Japan and the US?
