Serious Sam 3 Will Soon Give You 16 Player Co-Op

Make the next Serious Sam game official. Developer Croteam is bringing the next entry, Serious Sam 3: BFE, to PC and consoles mid 2011, a “glorious throwback to the golden age of first-person shooters,” they say.

That’s when “men were men, cover was for amateurs and pulling the trigger made things go boom,” according to Serious Sam 3′s official unveiling, which came with five fresh looks at the first-person shooter. The next Serious Sam will bring 16-player cooperative play to the campaign, which we’re assuming we’ll involve more shooting than strategy.

See what 22nd century Egypt looks like in the first very attractive screen shots of Serious Sam 3.

These are not the very first actually, screenshots were around years ago… no shit.

This doesn’t have a date on it, but I think they’re from around 2007. I can’t find the original article that had them all, but there are other shots in that gallery.

Cool. Serious Sam II looked good for its time, and this looks even better. I was always amazed at how the game handles so much crap on screen so well. Hopefully the fun factor aso remains.

Would be nice to have some more Serious Sam craziness to play with. So long as it’s more Serious Sam 1 than Serious Sam 2.
